How to resolve Blackberry JVM 517 error

My friend suddenly got this error on his Blackberry Curve 9300.

What I'm trying to do is:

1) Delete vendor.xml in c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader
2) Open your Blackberry Desktop Manager and connect your device via USB port
2) Click Loader.exe in c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader

  • The system will display all the application inside your device
  • Backup the files
  • Then you have to wait for up to 30 minutes for restoration process.

I hope above steps will work. If sending the device back to Brighstar, it might take few weeks to resolve. Pray that it will work since is the first time I encountered such problem.
